2012 Tune - What To Expect?

I'm just curious...sitting here not really able to sleep, thinking about how much more awesome my 2012 SE could be if the damn computer would just leave well enough alone and stop assuming I'm some mouth breather who can't figure out the difference between the go and stop pedal.

Anyways...I was curious to know what sort of goodies are to be expected once shops are able to tune the 2012 Focus, specifically with the DCG. I've noticed several things that seem to hinder performance considerably, and/or are just VERY annoying:

- Won't hold redline/shifts for you in S mode when using paddle
- 'Launch mode' still doesn't hold a terribly good RPM to actually launch properly
- Significant lag between pressing the paddle shifter and the tranny actually shifting
- A considerable lack of low end power

So I'm wondering what a good tune could do for any of that, specifically in regards to pulling all of the suck out of the gearbox. I think it could be a really fantastic car to drive if the computer would just stop butting in all the time.

Now, before anyone says it, YES I know there isn't much out there for the 2012 yet. That's not what I'm asking...merely speculating on what can be done to make things a bit better, especially since I'm really new to such things. Can these things be fixed? Can a good tuner tell the computer to not automatically switch gears when using the paddle shifter? Can it change or eliminate the stock rev limiter for launching? Can the engine make a bit more power in the low end without other mods? Or are these things I will have to deal with for ever and ever?

So looking to hear some opinions from those in the business, those who do this sort of thing for a living and may very well be working on these cars soon (if you're not already)...or even those who've had their similarly equipped vehicles tuned.

Well superchargers are designed to provide massive low end grunt, though they loose steam up high. Also, to solve your redline problem, GET A MANUAL! But since it seems you already have an automatic, and ECU reflash makes sense.
