OBD-I Tuning

Thinking of supercharging the 4.0 motor I am going to swap into my Bronco II. I have found several threads about other people doing this, but no real info on anything about it. I will probably be going with an M90 and building a custom manifold for it. Have some 30# injectors and an SVTF MAF also. The only problem I have is that it is OBD-I so I don't know how to approach tuning it. Any input?

I don't know if they do tuning or not, but they likely know who does. I did know of a place at one time, but now I don't know where the number is. It was a place in AL. I can't even remember the name, I called them once about a 3.0 project, and then ended up having problems.

I can tell you that you'd be much better off locating an earlier MAP computer and wiring harness than going with the MAF- especially if you're SC.

Thanks. And the 4.0 never had a MAP. The earlier 2.9 (what I have currently) is.

You should just swap a 5.0 in and call it a day o and also put a Dana 44 under it because that 35 wouldn't last long plus you would have a straight axle.

Don't need a straight axle. The TTB can perform just as well if done correctly. And I don't want to go full width. If by chance I ever did go D44 though, I would stick with the TTB version.

And I am not going to dump $1000 in parts just to make the 5.0 work. Its just not worth it since its a trail rig. I can supercharge it for less than $500 if I can figure out tuning.
