tuning yourself??

ok, since dealers know how to tune, they are regular people that are trained to be able to tune shit. what if the owner of the car wants to learn how to "tune" and create tunes, and make his own custom tunes?

I know this will get laughed at, go ahead, cause that shows how much of a dick you are, but in all seriousness, could oneself be able to tune his own car, with his own custom tune? (with a xcal 3)

Yes. i believe that's what the SCT Pro Racer Package lets you do.

However, there's a reason average people trust this work to pro's. if you screw up, it's your motor.

Yeah but if the pro tuner screws up it's still your motor.

I've been boosting 22lbs on my own tune for over 5000miles now. I never tuned a car before this one, I never built a motor before this one.

It can be time consuming though. But there are people that will help you, and it's really not that hard. The paid tuners won't help you much though.

Illinipo helped me alot with mine.

yeah
i mean that is the reason i want to learn how to do it, cause i mean hell, if someone gets paid to do it, and they use a porgram, why can't i do that myself?

sorry i am just a DIY person.

not really, the pro racer package from sct costs about 550$ which is close to tom's tune for F/I, AND you get to make your own tune, to call it your own, and experiment with things..
