0-60 time in datalogging

sooo i have been experimenting with data logging through my xcal 3 and livelink.

i was just curious what my 0-60 time would be. it would be pretty easy and more accurate than a stopwatch correct? lol since all i have to do is check the Speed PID. and then datalog an watch it go from 0-60 then check the time on it in excel?

it is only as accurate as the tire revs/mile in your tune.

To be the most precise only datalog the one item, and use the VEHICLE SPEED in CAPS. items in CAPS update faster.

ive tried to get a 1/4 mile time using the distance traveled DMR but it was way off. heavily modded zetec doing mid-17's? I dont think so.

only if you have brand spanking new tires of the factory brand and model. otherwise it will be at least slightly off.

not saying its "way" off but it will be not quite perfect, you may see a difference of just 1 tenth or even a whole second depending how far off the tire diameter is

well i mean if someone gets s 0-60 time with one of those mutli function gauges, its the same as getting the one from datalogging. if you use the speedo and the time given on the excel file its easy to get the 0-60 time, i ditll don't see how it would be wrong? only thing i could think of is wheel correction, but you can change that with a tune..
