When to get a tune?

At what point should you definently get a tune so you wont do no harm from the mods you have done? I plan on getting a CAI, catback exhaust, and probably a header soon. Will I HAVE to get a tune, or can I survive without one?

You can survive without a tune. But you should get one along with the CAI.

Read that article. It talks about your very question and even shows dyno charts to back up the article.

I really wish our cars made such a nice increase with just those two things.

I just ordered my tune from fswerks. I have a CAI, header, and exhaust.

Tom and most of us will tell ya to get the tune first.

Tom will update your tune for free as long as you stay NA, an extra charge is applied when you go FI, but still you get free tunes after that.

im not sure where Tom is on the duratex though. you should call him though

how long did you have those before you got the tune? Any bad effects on the car because of no tune?

My thoughts are that they give free updates to who they want, but not to everyone. Tom comes right out and says he does. To me that means alot. I dotn want to deal with a company that may or may not do something.
