ECU code requirement for xcal 3

Hi all. im based in the Philippines and i have an xcal 3 flasher. problem is that i can't find the ECU code that it needs for the tuning software. i tried looking for the sticker but even the ford technicians here can't find it.. all they can give me is a tier code. is that the same as the ecu code? its got 3 letters and a number. any help would be greatly appreciated

here's what they gave me:

ECU PART NUMBER : 4m51-12A650
TIER TAG: 7TKE
ESU-121 0185A 5F21

that's all the info on the ECU and in their records. any idea where else on the focus i can find that code? it's not stuck to the ECU or in any of the body panels as said on the FSwerks website

Since you already have the X3, you can use it to read the vehicles strategy code which translates to the ECU code. With that strategy code you should be able to type that into your software (do you have the pro racer package?) or give that code to an SCT dealer and they can use it to create your tune file.

Plug in the device to your vehicles OBDII port then go to the vehicle info menu. In there, there is a vehicle info selection. Choose that and it will tell you to turn your key on. After that it should display your vin number, communication type then if you press select it will display your strategy code. The strategy code will be 7 digits in length.

That code is in our software and any of our European SCT dealers should have access to it.

Man, you will have a European focus. Focus has never been manufactured here in Australia. They are probably only importing the same spec as Australia, and Ford Australia my be the distribution point for Asia Pacific. But rest assured, you don't have an Australian made Focus
