Diablosport or SCT Xcal3?
I'm planning on going boost in the near future, and when it comes down to tuning, which one has the advantage? I have a lot of srt buddy's with the dsport, and a few with the sct. the dsport seems a lot easier to use, and is nice because it allows you to make minor changes to fuel/timing, where as the sct, you have to have the tuner make all the changes. now the sct's they were using were the xcal 2's I believe. I've done some reading on the xcal 3's, and it says that the user has the ability to make fuel and spark adjustment, as well as idle, and some other things. how easy is this to make minor changes to compared to the dsport? and as far as datalogging, how easy is the xcal 3? I've datalogged NUMEROUS times on the dsport, and it is VERY easy. just filter down to what you would like to record, press record, and then stop. easy to play it back, and you also have the ability to go frame by frame which is nice. I like the fact that xcal has a built in 2-step. I wont be taking it to the drags ALL the time, but would like to see what it can do. a 2-step would be awesome for that.
another question, have both of these been able to work on windows 7? I'm going to be picking up a new netbook to datalog either of these with, and I would like to make sure that it works well w/windows 7.
this might seem like a silly question, but if I was to go w/the sct, the DiabloSport MAF would work with it right? I'm sure it will, just wanna double check.
And Tom, your gonna be the one I buy either of these from and have tune it for me, so this was mainly directed towards you, was just curious to hear others opinions. and you sent me a pm a long time ago with some info, but I accidently deleted it. oops. lol
