It might work but you have to have Ford reset the PATS and Keys before it will crank and run

Why not just tune the ECU you have

its not for me its for a guy with an svt.. he bought the motor out of my car and put it in his car.. he had a bbk on his and it has the bbk tune on his ecm.. so i was just wondering if the ecu that came with the motor and his ecu could be interchanged..

It can be interchanged but then when he takes it to Ford to have the PATS / keys reset it wipes off the existing tune so the BBK tune would be gone

He will need to get a tune , he can go to a local dyno or I can remote tune it for 550.00 , If the local dyno has not done a few I would find one that has

well he is planning on retuning his ecu to stock.. i was just curious if he could just put in the ecu from the car that had the motor in it and keep his ecu for the bbk kit. but i guess not..
