TOM's ATX Tune

Well I got the sct tuner from Tom and put the tune in. I have to say that it made a bit of a difference on my car. The things I could notice is the use of 93 octane which lead to a smoother car. He raised the idle up a little and the shift points were changed to shift a little harder. The responce time on my car is alot better now and it feels more willing. Keep in mind I only have the basic bolt ons minus the header... Definitely worth it IMO.

Now to PUT the sct tag on my car...anyone got an opinion on where it should go?

I'd put that sticker underhood somewhere...maybe on the battery cover, of MAF tube?

In the next month, or so, this will be my first mod.

This is my drag racing thread. There's a lot of ATX tune talk in it.

I have an 09 ATX, and was wondering if a tune really required 93 octane? Tom chirp in!

ok, idle is raised which took the shakes out of my car, faster acceleration all the way around, gas milage went down...:(, shift points extended

I have not disconnected the battery yet so I might do that tonight to see if there are any difference after that. overall it makes the car perform better. the only thing I question is my gas mileage...other than that I am happy with it.

side note:
Be very careful not to hit anything electrical during the tuniing process. I did and messed up my xcal. sct helped me out but I have yet to try to return the car to the stock tune. I want to go a dearlership, do my return to stock tuning process there just in case it does not work and I need the car reflashed by ford.

I threw my SCT tag away.... they didnt do ANYthing for your car except sell you the flasher.... your Tuner (in this case Tom) did all the work.

Nothing against SCT but give the credit to where credit is due.

Tom, two tanks and mileage is down... and I have not pressed on the peddle more than usual because of the bad weather we have had over in chicago plus you told me to be careful not to go to WOT until I have put in the afr gauge which I have not. But I did not disconnect the battery so I am trying that today. I will see what happens.

Orange SVT..did you read the first post? I am giving Tom props...

Overall I am satisfied. Once I know my xcal works fine again the mileage wont be much of an issue because I will be going back and forth between tunes when I see fit.
