disconnecting fuel pump fuse for tuning? Does this do any harm?

Just curious. The instructions for the sct say to disconnect the fuel pump fuse. Will this cause any hiccups during ignition after I finish putting in Toms tune on my car's ecu?

There is no need to do that anymore, that's for some older cars. Just plug it in and tune you'll be fine.

i used to do the fuel pump fuse unplug but one time i realized the pump is turned off during tuning anyway. you can hear it kick on when the tune is finished (and you cant hear it when you turn the key to load the tune).

but to answer your question no it wont hurt anything, just make sure you put it back in when youre done
