A tune is the modification of the factory ECU parameters.

A good aftermarket tune usually takes care of all of the small things that were overlooked by Ford... plus it will definitly give you more power, better drivability, and sometimes even better gas mileage.

Actually thats pretty much the going rate +/- a few bucks... but you do get the Xcal 3 which is also a code reader/clearer and a datalogger all in one.

You can go with another company but Tom offers free updates as to where other companies will want to charge you 20-35 dollars an update. So in the long run, going with Tom's tune is probably your best bet and plus you're getting one of the best tunes you can get.

Dont want to seem like an ass here But the Phrase "You get what you pay for" goes hand in hand with modifying a car. so if you want a tuner heres what i would do considering im 20 have a job as well in a grocery store but has spent about 2k on his focus. Save up money for toms tune. He is probably one of the best tuners that knows his way around the focus. so when he gives you a tune for your car it will be essentially bulletproof. set aside like 20 dollars or something for his tune each paycheck and in a few months you shall be enjoying toms tune.
