Tunning Mass air returnless setup

I have done some basic tuning with widebands on MAP/IAT vehicles and understand the concepts, but i just got this turbo focus that is mass air based with SCT tuner..... I'm lost. And returnless fuel system? WTF MATE? how can you even DO that? I think the interface may be too dumbed down or i'm just missing it. Any good FAQ's or guides on these types of systems on the net?

Thanks
-Brad

You have the Pro Racer software or the SCT flasher ? I charge 450.00 to do a complete tune on the ZX3 Zetec engine , Be very carefull tuning this engine or you will be picking up rods off the ground

This is ztechfreak's old car, witch he said you helped a little bit with. The tune is so conservative its hurting not just the performance, but the driveability. Main issue is when you punch the throttle, it goes way rich, like the tps based enrichment is set far too high.

Tom thats the one I did then we brought it down for the final dyno tuning last fall with the DIY SPA kit.

recently it has developed an issue with the AFR... no matter where you set it the AFR eventually starts leaning out (after a week or 2) adaptive is turned off but the car was sold before I had a chance to go in and look around to see what the issue was.

Not sure what the difference is, but i got a dongle for the SCT software and a unit that plugs into the obd-II port to flash the car.

Even when it is reflashed, the afr's are way lean in cruise, like off scale. The oppisite problem exists for acceleration; in lower rpms if you floor it the afr goes off scale rich and causes the engine to lug. No load=no boost. If you roll into the throttle or put the hammer down above 4k the problem is not nearly as bad. and yes, after the 4th or 5th time you run the car it begins to dangerously lean out. It would help if I got some vac line and hooked up the wastegate and boost controller correctly.

Is there a way to get the tune off the sct flasher? I need to get the tune files from Josh still...

What kind of afr's should I be aiming for with 12lbs of boost? 12:1? 11.5:1?

I thinl you have the tune on your lap top... if not I can have Josh send it to your email.

The car ran fine for a few months then there at the end I was told it was leaning out... but I never had the chance to go back in and look around.

We had the AFR set up to be in the mid to high 10's and low 11's at worst.

You wont be able to use the SCT PRP on your computer , it takes a pass key and onse SCT knows your not the origional buyer it is NOT transferable from what I understand , you will have to buy a license I beleive
