FI tuning

So i have started to put together a little turbo kit for my svtf . I plan on running 10psi, the only thing that worries me is tuning. I am going to have tom tune it as soon as i save up for his tune but until then I figure why not try myself? If im running 10psi what should i account for? i was thinking just a/f ratio. I am not going for the maximum power gain until i go to tom i just want it safe. Also what tuning devices would everyone recommend? and how do they corrispond with the svtf? All help is greatly appreciated!

2 psi will kill your engine , no amount of boost is safe with 10.2 complession with out proper tuning and proper tuning is much much more then just A/F Ratio , If you havent done any tuning then this would not be the car to start with

You will need a AF Gauge and a J&S Safeguard with that I can remote tune you a good safe tune and coming to the dyno would be optional

A friend is also going to help and he has tuned a couple cars (mostly imports though). I think that it will be a fun learning experience! I just want to know what i would need to look at along with a/f?

read this book, then think about whether or not you want to get into it. In fact the book is on sale right now, thats the best price ive seen in a while.

http://www.amazon.com/Engine-Managem.../dp/1932494421

there are far more things involved than we can just type out in this thread.

Personally I would just save your pennies and wait till you can pay tom. Its not worth the risk of your engine/car especially if its your dd.

You'll need a flash device, obviously, but also the associated tuning software, which runs a pretty penny. Factor that into your DIY costs.

Im not just saying this because I sell stuff , I got a call last Thursday , guy going to a dyno , called me yesterday needing an engine , Guy stated "this guy is one of the best Mustang tuners in the country"

This isnt an easy car to tune , Sure shouldnt be the first car you tuned and the guy that has tuned an import wouldnt have a clue on this car
