Can Software Be Bought For Diablo??

Hi,

Just wondering if computer software can be bought to program the Diablo Tuner for the SVT? I am looking at buying from Tom but at the same time I love working on my own cars and would like to experiment with tuning for myself. From what i see and hear it seams like the Diablo is better than the SCT with the racer software. Please help with this and please give prices in comparisson

Thanks guys

The diablo is no better then the sct and the sct is no better then the diablo software it comes down to your tuner and his knowledge of what he is tuning

If you want to do the tuning your self your only option is the SCT pro racer package and I sell those as well

Tom

Hi Tom, thanks for the response but does the SCT do all the same things as the Diablo like data logging and cand you change all the same parameters as the diablo, do you happen to have a comparisson chart of the benefits and features?? most of all is the same horsepower and torque achievable through both?

Thanks for your help

Tom thanks for all your help so far and sorry if i'm frustrating you. If i was to buy an XCAL 3 from you without getting the Pro Racer Package yet, could you load it with 3 tunes?? 1 for 94octane, AEM cold air intake / 1 for 94octane, AEM cold air intake, underdrive pulleys, 2.5" high flow cat, Aluminum flywheel & clutch combo / and 1 for 87/89 octane fuel economy tune for hyway driving? Also if i was to buy this XCAL3 with these tunes from you would i be able to save your tunes to my computer and purchase the PRP down the road and play around with tuning my self?? As long as Horsepower and torqe gains are the same with the XCAL3 as the Diablo i would like to look into purchasing the XCAL3 and down the road the PRP. Please a price for the XCAL3 with the 3tunes, and a price for the PR Software.

Thanks Tom and sorry for the headaches i just want to get the best and from what i hear you can deliver that.

FYI on the highway your engine is in closed loop shooting for 14.7:1 so you cant really do much to increase gas mileage besides run in open loop and force it really lean (BAD!)

if you didnt know that yet you should read a few books before thinking about tuning your car.

Running lean is bad yes but there are a lot of other things done for fuel economy. None of our fuel economy tunes actually lean the car out.

cylinder deactivation?

its a game of efficiency, so really a good performance tune will be a good gas mileage tune.

Nope. Depends on the car but there are several different things that can be tweaked. Typically though a good performance file will pick up economy but usually doesn't due to the right foot factor.

I dont agree , with the Focus in closed loop controling the AF and a very very good knock sensor both adding and taking out the timing VERY efficiently

fuel and timing are 98% of where your MPG comes from ,where or what could be changed to make the MPG better ? On the Focus I have played with this for a long time and the result is the same the ECU takes over and is much better at MPG then anything that you can do manualy (open loop / no knock sensor)
