ok, well thanks a lot to everyone who post a reply tio my doubt, thanks a lot, now i just get out from a doubt, so im thinking to get into street racer, shows and etc. etc., now the coilovers are better???

so basically coilover kit and lowering kit are the same *g thing??? so we just call them different coilover kit for an adjustable suspension and lowering kit to a non adjustable??'

am i right????

A lowering kit, lowers the car and usually has a better spring rate.

Coil overs are completly adjustable and you can setup the coilovers for different types of driving, track conditions, ride height and so on..

Coilovers are far better than a lowering kit, but they are also more expensive...

Personally I run a Ground Control coilover kit with Koni yellows and Eibach 500# single rate springs.

I had the H&R coilovers on my first Focus, and they rode smoother than any other lowered Focus I have ever been in. The spring rates were not ridiculous and the dampers were perfectly matched to them meaning that bounce and harsh ride conditions were kept at a minimum. As far as cost, the least expensive that I have seen for true coilovers are the KSport ones, they are supposed to be decent, but for a couple hundred more you can get H&R, Koni, or Eibach coilovers that will perform much better, and have a lifetime warranty vs. the 1 year you get from KSport.

Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY THE CHEAP COILOVERS OFF OF EBAY!!!!!!!!

besthaticouldo you said yours rides pretty smooth? Is that your daily driver? And you said you track that car right? I won't be doing any of that but I do enjoy a sick handling ride... as long as a speedbump or pothole doesn't feel like a jackhammer on my tailbone. I had lowering spring on my last focus and it was smooth yet handled very well. I wanted to go more aggressive on my new focus, but again not a rough ride. Its an hour drive to work, one way, some of its pretty nasty though all paved. Would those eibach coilvers kill my driveability??

Just get the H&R ones I now have them on my ride and needless to say they are prefect. I had the eibach sportline springs on first but had too much yaw, ( rocking side to side movement inside the car) I needed something more stiff (I know that sounds gay but bare w/ me). So I did my reasearch and found that most rally car drivers liked the H&R coilovers for thier cars over other brands. Anyways to make a dumb storie short.....I like my coilovers way more then the lowering springs
