Is there a way to test my fuel pressure sensor?

I have an intermittent stalling issue and a rich code (P0172) on my SVT and long story short I have narrowed down the next possible cause as a faulty fuel pressure sensor. Before I throw a $150 hail mary by replacing it, does anyone know how to test this? Is there a way to tap into the fuel rail to manually check fuel pressure with a gauge?

Check vacuum hose to the sensor first.

If it's bad & leaking evidence of fuel will be in there, that can result in a rich condition.

nah, dry as a bone and no cracks. unless you meant to inspect for fuel INSIDE the hose, which i did not do because yanking the hose is too difficult within the tiny space available haha

A programmer will let you check fuel pressure under the data log option

Of COURSE I meant inside the hose, how else could leaking fuel get into the intake?

You'd be messin' with the hose if you toss $150 at it for a new one on a guess....

If the thing was leaking EXTERNALLY you wouldn't have posted the question IMHO, trust you to make THAT call.

As 02 z x 3 said, checking fuel pressure with some type scan tool is the next step after checking for an obvious mechanical failure.

Should see about 40 psi., sometimes higher. Consistently much less wouldn't be normal.

If the tool will read with motor turned off read the drop in FP after you kill engine, it also tells you if an injector is leaking which can make possibly same code.

On the low level zetecs I take the plug out of the driver end of the fuel log and drill and tap it for a normal mechanical FP gauge.............you gotta have a die to tap the OD for like tire valve stem threads though. 5/16"-32 IIRC. I use like 6-32 for the inside hole and plug it with a button allen head screw and an aluminum sealing washer.
