Hello FF, first off what a great site. Seems there are loads of smart guys who love there foci here. I bought a 2003 zx5 SVT lastyear and have used this site tremendously.
Forgive a new but, I believe i have factory HIDs but im not totally certain. They have the turns signals and the separate high/ lows in the same housing. I've never gotten my foglights to work. They will flicker for a split second and go out. They are the same blueish that the headlights are. If traced the wiring down somewhat and looks like a power pack or maybe a ballast powers them so I'm guessing they are HIDs as well. The fog light mod was used I found the little jumper in the relay box. It was a tad burnt but I've seen worse.
First off any one have an idea what could be the problem. And second are they really even HIDs. It looks like a bulb of some sort is in there. Not the crystal ball looking dome that's in my headlights. I'd take pictures but I'm having the head remachined and its still in the shop. I figured with top half of the motor out of the way this would be the time to work in there.
Thanks, Brandon M Briggs
