Fuel Door Done

Installed the billet fuel door today. All the online tutorials showed this without the inner boot, but I was afraid of metal on metal rubbing, so I patiently engineered the boot to stay put. This is the Ford Racing door, but I had a body shop paint it to match.

looks sweet! awesome job:) would you suggest others try it too or was the "engineering" of the boot difficult?

Me likey! Wish there was something similar for the Mk2. Even my dad has a polished aluminum one on his Miata.

I two installed the frpp's fuel door a few yrs ago. No instructions, & I figured out how to put the fuel door w/ the insert or boot all in one piece & install the alloy fuel door w/o damage. Redline has the same after I bought it & they have the instructions. Yours looks great painted. I have a silver car, so I left my natural alumium. Use tape to protect the paint when installing.

I dunno, color matched billet fuel doors look amazing!

I always wanted to get to get the aircraft fuel door from Bat Inc. But alas, they're discontinued
