Ok I double checked the outstanding TSBs - don't have the wire splice one.

I do have a recall on the body control reprogramming (trunk) and the side latch recall + MFT. No TSBs that I can tell atm.

The 'wire splice' is really to correct issues with intermittent loss of electrical power, engine cutting out, erratic idle.
If you have none of those issues.. Then it is unlikely you even need to fix the wire splice.
Just saving you from trying to fix something that may not be broken on your particular car.

I don't think the hatch reprogram recall was ever a TSB. If it was I don't recall seeing it.

It doesn't worry me though. Every time there is a reprogram or such it seems to screw something else up. My car is running to good to screw with it.

Since this thread has been bumped, allow me to say that coming from a 12 Se sport, I really don't like the hatch button being right below the fog light switch on my 16 ST. It probably wouldn't be an issue if I had that button on my old car and I was used to it being there. Truth be told, back in the day test driving a 15 ST, it was kind of cloudy and wasn't my car, so I turned on the headlights. So naturally just to "look cool" I turned on the fog lights and immediately popped the hatch while moving. It might had been in a turn around heading towards the freeway and I was going slow enough for it to happen, but I don't remember. All I know it was a minor inconvenience. Saying that however, I have gone out at night, or to work in the morning and after turning my headlights on, popped my hatch in my new car.
