Is this "automotive hypochondria"?

I read everything about ST. I really have seen nothing about any misfire.

The main things even related to this are failure of piston #4 with a bad tune..

And under heavy boost sometimes the engine cuts out for a few moments.
(this I think is to save the engine from blowing up..?)

I have had my ST cut out under heavy boost for a moment. I am not worried.
Engine management is protecting my motor from detonation.

Was reading on focusst.org. But I think most of theses issues are from bad tune as stated. Just want to know because want to purchase one myself.

Anthony your on the interweb, as you know ppl say anything & everything. I really wouldn't sweat it. I'd throw some reliability into it thou. Go to a few powerstroke boards & you'll see for yrs alot of ppl bitched & moaned about the 6 liters. Make it reliable & it'll live w/ more power & torque thrown at it. I used to have a 485hp Amarillo....

I loved both of my ST's. My wife really misses her 2014. She put 26K on it and we had zero issues with it. It drove better than my 2015 did IMHO.

Leave it stock and enjoy it. They only blow up if you hoon the crap out of them.

The one thing we didn't like about both of them was the torque steer.

There's a lot of really well cared for used ST's out there. Hope you find one soon because it's an awesome Focus to drive as a daily and is a blast on a long road trip too.

We had ST1's without all the interior bling, but if I had it to do over I'd buy the ST3 package just because.
