Dealership shine job..

So, put my SVT up for sale and went out to the west coast to pick up a nice clean 13k mile 2014 ST3 in tangerine, reasonable price. Had the oil changed and everything checked while I was in Cali, borrowed a torque wrench to check the wheel lugs after the ford quick lane service.

Well, drive it back east and in a few weeks, 5k miles, time to change the oil, while I'm changing the oil, there's a drop of oil on the transaxle, a bit of residue on the splash shield and the left side is wet up to the axle.

I changed the oil and made an appointment at the dealership, here's what they report:

Inspected both axle seals, no leaks, only assembly grease on trans case. Hmmm, well, I suppose if I'd never seen oil before I might buy it. I plan on rinsing everything off and making it brake-kleen squeaky clean, then if in 2k miles its oily again, guess who's going back to the dealership.

Anyway, I do like the ST, the seats are a little grabby for someone with a large frame but I have a temporary fix for long road trips and that works perfectly, for short jaunts, under an hour, they're fine.
