Only you can decide what the red is worth to you since you don't really like red. I didn't want red either, only because my mother in law has a Focus Titanium in red. To me the 2014 red one at $1700 less sounds like a better deal...if they are both ST3, I would take a less mileage 1 year older car for $1700 less and put the savings in the bank or to mods for the car.

I'm actually looking nationwide now, on cargurus, and the deals that I'm finding don't seem to be much better. Save maybe 1k but shipping is about 1k. So almost seems negligible

I think $699 is pretty standard for FL ,theres a nice TB 2015 st2 at Rosner Chevy in Melbourne with only 11K miles listed at $20,500 ,said he would match the TS one i was looking at in orlando which was 19K , good luck with search !
also look on CARFAX cars

OK and not directed at you...sorry, just the statement above is why no one raises hell about these fees...except me.

My problem with dealer fees is this...why is FL $699 and PA $135? These fees should be regulated...it is a rip off from the dealerships. So when a dealership says, "we can't go that low because we aren't making money on this deal" as you know they all say that...I say "what about the $699 dealer fee...that is pure profit!" So on top of what they make on the car, they make $699 on every vehicle they sell...there are a little over 3000 Ford dealerships in the US...in September of this year Ford sold 204k new vehicles nationwide...let's do some fun math.

204447 new Fords sold September 2016 (3000 dealerships)
$699 dealer fee per vehicle

$142,908,453 in dealer fees

divide this by 3000 dealers and each dealer would roughly get $47636.15 just in fees that are arbitrary. So the dealers are getting richer and richer on nothing more than a documentation fee, dealer fee whatever they call it these days.

Granted all dealers don't charge $699, but it is ridiculous to make that kind of profit for doing nothing but owning a dealership and ripping people off.

Dealers act like they don't make any money on cars. Then how are they still in business? I am tired of the poor pitiful me act dealerships try to portray.

OK sorry...End Rant

Doc. fees can be skipped if you do it yourself to a large extent, variations are often from wildly varied State fees.

I didn't know until being on the forum how LARGE the fees can be in some States since the ones here (always complained about) are among the lower ones.

Some charge hundreds for registration for example. I just paid $52 for a 2 yr. renewal.

There's 13'-14' ST's in my area going for 20K and under.

I think if you look around and be patient one will pop up that you like.

Still have been looking. Honestly 22.2 is around the best deal I'm finding on a 15 ST with all TTT included. This puts the car at about 20k. Nationwide search isn't yielding much better results.

If you want a 15, then you are probably in the right price range for an ST3...If you go to a 2013 or 2014 you may get a better deal....just depends what year you want. It is always a tough decision when buying a used car...year vs miles vs color vs options for a great price...Sometimes we get lucky and find everything we want and sometimes we get close...just depends what you can live with.
