Got my door latch recall notice. Parts in second quarter of 2017..

Glad I don't have a problem now.
But I think Ford is fixing current problems first. Then therest later on.
Glad I can get it done.
I rmmber on my once new 1999 Ford Contour SVT the dash had a recall for warping. Well mine wasn't warped.. until five years later. And then no parts to fix it. I kept that car 13 years . and with the dash which looked terrible.
So I am glad this time I can get the fix, instead of having a broken door latch eight years down the road, and no parts..

Required part of the Recall process I'm sure.

At least not waiting for a Takata airbag.

X2, borderline stupidity is no longer a rare commodity is it?

Commonly practiced at all major corporations now. Just ask Samsung.

Funny story...

I traded in my 2014 ST and my 2015 ST for my RS and then 2 months later I got the door handle recall letters for the ST's lol.

Currently awaiting hatch button recall letter for the RS...lulz.

hey folks. guess what. most likely all four latches are being replaced.

parts will be in anywhere from JAN 2017 for end of second quarter 2017.

service manager tells me there is no telling when parts will be available.

I'm not at all looking forward to this.

I hate when the dealer has to work on my car...
