Picking up modded ST, need tune advice

Hey all,

I'm coming from a WRX background and I'm new to the ST so please bear with me...

I just placed a deposit on a used 2013 ST for the girlfriend. Got a great deal on it and it rides like a dream. Unfortunately, it has an unknown level of modification and it doesn't feel as if it's tuned currently.

Mods I know of: Borla catback, Cobb intake, unknown brand BOV, A-Pillar gauges. I drove a stock 2015 immediately after driving the 2013 and they seemed nearly identical in performance so it doesn't seem the ECU is optimized for the mods installed.

I know it needs a tune, but I'm not sure what way would be best. I went the accessport/OTB then pro tune with my WRX but I didn't know if that was the best option for the ST. I could Get the AP and use the OTB tune (then get it pro tuned when we're done with mods) but I don't know how well those would play with the installed BOV. If it doesn't play well with the BOV then I can pick up a BPV and tune it as such. I know WRXs don't play well with BOV but I don't know how the ecoboost motors take to them.

I also don't know if there are any additional mods. We're picking it up this week so once it's in my garage I'll have a better chance to get down and dirty with it. In the meantime I'm working with the information that I've got on hand.

Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

J
