Yeah, you get used to the assist that tries to cut down on torque steer. I've found I just loosen my grip on the wheel till its done and it stays fairly straight.

Did he tell you that a current generation V6 Mustang would smoke a ST?

The guy was incredibly annoying, to the point that I went to a different Ford dealership.

A little bit of an update. I did get a Focus, but not an ST. Bought a 2014 SE in metallic blue, black interior, and auto. Zero options, and I like it that way!

Ignore the crappy park job! City is working on the street and both the gf and myself have to squeeze in that parking spot.

A solid choice, but the Ford 6-speed automatic trans in a loaner Titanium I drove in August was extremely uncooperative, and I wouldn’t have one in my Focus…so, an ST3 it was for me!

Snow tires are your front-wheel-drive winter friend if you drive in the mountains, as I frequently do here in Washington state. Do it soon, and enjoy your SE!
