The Ford Racing instructions call for a lot of work to install this. I installed mine last Saturday without removing the bumper.

Installation wasn't bad at all. I removed the 4 push-pins & two torx screws from the black shroud, and just unhooked the hood cable instead of removing the entire hood release. I rolled up a towel and used it to hold up the shroud/bumper cover and used a hooked blade to cut the opening. I was careful and went slowly while cutting and it turned out great. I just slid the tube in and put everything back together. It only took me 20 minutes from start to finish. I'm really surprised that the Ford Racing instructions call for removing the entire front end of the car to install this!

It's a very nice piece. Once installed, it's virtually invisible. No one would know unless you specifically look for it in the front grill. The car should have come from the factory with it! I definitely noticed an increase in sound as well as improved throttle response. I too also like the fact that it rams cold air into the airbox instead of sucking hot air from under the hood. A few others that have installed it have also noticed an increase in MPG.

This isn't my picture, but you get the idea. The snorkel opening is at the top of the grill to the right of the Ford emblem.

Do you have pictures of the install? Just curious. I might be looking at it as well.

I just installed mine today. Pain in the ass. I didnt take the bumper off. I just loosened the top shroud and used small tools. Be very careful of the shutter grille witch is right by it. I knocked one of the shutters panels off but luckily i was able to put the peg back in place. I wish I would have let my mechanic take the bumper off because I dont mess with plastic to often but its done with only minor damage to only myself. Just a couple of cuts but it goes with the territory. Good luck

I have it installed. I pulled the shroud out to cut out the hole, then reinstalled. Took some time but easier than cutting while in the car.
