VCT Eliminator question

Hey Tom, I know you make (or made) a VCT Eliminator...I had an exh. cam gear installed and ever since my car never felt right, even with the cam set at zero. Its seemed to have lost some grunt and Im sure the VCT is to blame. I dont get over advance codes, but it just doesnt feel right. The VCT is complicated and a pain int he ass for doing a T belt, removing cams, etc. and putting it all back together.

1) Whats included in the VCT Eliminator kit?

2) How do you "turn off" the VCT? I have an SCT1 but considering getting a Diablo/ Tune from you.

3) Does the solenoid on top of the valve cover stay or does it get plugged and removed?

4) What are the gains/ losses (if any) with an NA focus? I do plan to go turbo or SC one day and I know I can fine tune the cams with FI.

5) Do I only need an adjustable cam gear to complete the kit, or does that come with your kit?

Any info you can give would be great!

Thanks

I believe the adjustable cam gear comes with the kit, and I think you leave the solenoid in. I would assume that a modified tune is needed to keep the CEL from coming on. if your VCT is functioning properly, you'll probably see a loss somewhere in your powerband depending on how you have your cams set, but if you're adding the VCT to a NA application because it's not working right, you won't see much of a loss at all

1) Whats included in the VCT Eliminator kit?
****The VCT Elim it self, you have the bolt already just shorten it no les then .500 .550 is best

2) How do you "turn off" the VCT? I have an SCT1 but considering getting a Diablo/ Tune from you.
****Either software will turn off the VCT

3) Does the solenoid on top of the valve cover stay or does it get plugged and removed?
****Yes it stays

4) What are the gains/ losses (if any) with an NA focus? I do plan to go turbo or SC one day and I know I can fine tune the cams with FI.
****No gains no loss just gets rid of the electronic adjustment and takes you to a gear you can adjust

5) Do I only need an adjustable cam gear to complete the kit, or does that come with your kit?
****Yes pick up an ADJ cam gear shorten your cam bolt .550 then call and i will tell you how to install the new gear
