Duratec Stroker Kits

I was wondering about the pricing on those, let's say the 2.4 Big Bore kit for the 2.0, the price of $2649.00. Is that just for parts, is it an actual assembled shortblock, or does it include installation using the current block in my car?

Thanks, that's what I thought. I was kinda hoping it included installation, too good to be true I guess. Do you have an idea of how much it would cost for you to swap out the shortblock for me?

I am looking for some strong mid-range torque, not looking to rev it much past 7k. I was thinking 11.5:1 or so compression, probably stage 1 or 2 Crane cams to compliment it. Do you think this would get me close to 200tq? I've heard that boreing it to 2.4L is supposed to unshoud the valves and make a big difference in addition to the increased displacement. I suppose your turbo kit would be the easier and cheaper route, but I'd rather stay n/a if I can afford it.

Also, I know you do some tuning for the Zetec Foci, but do you plan on developing any SCT tunes for your Duratec kits?

Ok, I just couldn't find it on your website. Do you have access to a dyno? After I get cams, I'll get the tune from you and it would be great if I could dyno tune everything.
So what about that installation cost and expected power for the 2.4 kit?
BTW, I just tried to go to your site and it says the account is suspended.

Yes we have an inhouse dynojet for tuning

Engine install is 650.00 for a complete engine expected power would only be a guess and i dont want to do that till i build one

Cool, $650 is reasonable. I could actually afford that after I get my tax return and sell one of my cars. It might be another 2 months though. I plan on getting cams first, do you think I should go with Crane stg 1 or 2 to compliment the 2.4 stroker?

I just remembered you'd probably be concerned with piston-valve clearence. Do your pistons have enough relief 0.410 lift (stg2) with 11:1 compression? I guess you could just cut reliefs if need be. That amount is supposed to be fine with the stock motor. Maybe I should wait on the cams and save money for the shortblock.

Well, I guess what we, and I, would like to know is; what would be the most effective set up for the 2.4 stroker kit? Most everyone has the 2.0 Dura engine in these here parts and at least half of those being autos, I suspect.

What cams and compression ratio do you suggest for the 2.0 to 2.4 in automatic and manual?

Piston to Valve wont be an issue

As for choosing Cams and Compression this would depend on what your power goals , NA , FI , Octane ,ATX , MTX Etc. and other boltons you were going to use
