Tune Refunds

Once I email a tune there is NO REFUNDS , If I do all I can and cannot tune your Focus then we will talk about doing a refund

In the last 2 months I have had 2 Customers to charge backs through there bank and/or paypal

I lost a charge back because he lied and got the xcal back locked where he had loaded my tune then got a refund and is still running my tune now he has my tune and his money

I dont get this a lot but because it is so easy for people to be dishonest the bad ones are going to take advantage of it , load the tune then ask for a refund and keep running the tune , there is some really dishonest people out there

If you do a charge back and loose your will not receive any further tunes or tune updates

Tom

Thats fair, but you still issue refund if you cannot get a tune to work properly after various datalogging and reasonable efforts?, I know you have stated this before.

Crappy that people would do that, are they getting refunded just the cost to tune, or the xcal too? If the latter, what if they need to flash back to stock?

I think you are missing what he is saying. He does not give refunds after the tune is sent.

He will only give a refund if HE feels he has exhausted all possibilities. It has nothing to do with how you feel about it. In other words, NO REFUNDS. If it was more clear, I believe there would be a lot fewer problems with this kind of thing.

And I wouldn't be surprised if those that have done this were only getting the tune to be able to sell the car. They didn't have any interest in tuning, just wanted out of their Car. I hope that's not the case, and hate to hear this happening to someone trying to help the focus community.

Thats not exactly what I said , what I said was " If I do all I can and cannot tune your Focus then we will talk about doing a refund "

What this means is if I am tuning your Focus and you decide you no longer want me to tune your Focus you dont get a refund , If I do all I can do to tune your Focus and just cannot get it tuned and you follow the instructions to tune your Focus and I still cannot tune it then you will get a full 100% refund

If I am tuning your Focus and something happens , totaled , stolen , then we will talk about a refund

I dont know how it could be any fairer to my customers

Tom

Believe it or not, just trying to help. Like I said in my post, It doesn't matter a persons time frame or how bad they NEED the car. That is not grounds for a refund. Like you have said before, it could take 10 tunes, it could take 40 tunes or more. Not everyone has time for that. I just wish the reality of that was more clear before I paid you and think that information could help someone out. From all past threads I can find, you never give up on tuning a car regardless of how many tunes or length of time. This is just not possible for some of us when tuning stretches out over months and you need something reliable to drive. Not saying this is why those two charge backs happened, but could be the case in some instances. That is why I say (in most instances) no refunds.
