Good safe boost is 8psi , To run more than that a good tune is needed as with any boost

well i would think you would need to tune with ne amount of boost...orangesvt, were there ne other internal motifications that you needed to do to have that kind of boost? and another thing, what all entails a "good tune" besides the obvious of gettin the degrees right on the cam gears?

A good tune is much more than adjusting the cam gears , The cam gear adjustment is just that and has nothing to do with tuning

Tuning is done by getting into the Focus Computer and making changes to the fuel tables and timing tables as well as about 100 other changes

OrangeSVT has NO internal mods of any kind to his engine

Tom

As Tom stated I have NO internal mods, everything stock.... except the Sheetmetal intake and the VCT eliminator..... BOTH Thanks to Tom

Even with 19psi the car feels like it came from the factory with the turbo on it, Tom is DA MAN when it comes to tuning

I feel safe driving it anywhere, after all this IS a daily driver

So how does this stack up against the GT? You have any pics of the completed engine compartment?

Sort of confused.........but are you supposed to have good tuning on any kind of FI application, no matter how much boost your running, even if it is the "safe" amount of 8psi or under? And that it is absoultley neccissary with any more boost of like 12 to 14 psi?
