Tom, ? about the SVT Predator Flasher

Hey Tom,

I just wanna say that I admire your dedication to this forum, and your tuning. I have a 02 SVTF and I am currently saving up for your Full Turbo kit. In the mean time............. I'd like to do a little performance upgrading. I don't want to go with an AEM CAI or anything that will be replaced by the turbo kit......so my questions are:

1) If I got the SVT Predator Flasher, whould it need to be changed/replaced when I get the full turbo kit? I can understand maybe tuning the chip to accomodate the gained HP.

2) Also, your kit doesn't come with a blow off valve does it? If not what kind would you recommend?

3) Could you briefly explain the difference between a wastegate and a blow off valve?

Thanks again for all the usefull info that you post and hope to hear back from ya soon.
You da Man!!

****You can still use the Predator for your tuning

2) Also, your kit doesn't come with a blow off valve does it? If not what kind would you recommend?
****No it doesent , I can do a flange for free that will fit the GReedy Type-S bov

3) Could you briefly explain the difference between a wastegate and a blow off valve?
****Sure the waste gate is the mechanical part that controles the boost (boost controller would be the electrical or manual part) The BOV releases backed up Psi in the piping during de-exceleration this helps to spool the turbo up faster between shifts and to keep uneven load down on the impellers
