Tom, Can my luck get any worse???

After we talked, I called John at J&S and he told me how to check to see which knock sensor wire was the ground, so I did it and guess what I have the ground hooked up instead of the positive

So I decide to disconnect the battery, take loose the wiring harness from the ECU and plan to change wires....

Well that shit didnt happen.....

I start turning the bolt to get the harness off the ECU and no matter how much I turn it.... IT WONT COME LOOSE

I tried EVERYTHING I could think of, slightly tugging on it while trying to loosen the bolt, pulling on it... EVERYTHING with no luck.

The one good thing is its stuck in the ECU so the car is still drivable.....

So I unplugged the J&S since it wasn't helping anyways.... being it was hooked up wrong.

If you can think of anything to help it would be GREATlY appreciated


EDIT: driving it still shouldn't hurt should it, since the J&S was never hooked it right anyways. So far there has been SEVERAL 7000+ WOT pulls without any problems plus the boost is still down on 13 instead of the 15 it was tuned for.

If i hooked the ground up and not the Pos why are all the self checks working and the lights on ?

I meant after I traced the wires down with the multimeter from the sensor to the ECU connector I ended up hooking up to the ground wire instead of the positive.

Any idea's on the stuck connector??


EDIT: maybe the self check is just for the unit itself?? It passed the self check after I changed the wires everytime, I think I've tried it 3 times now and it always passes the selfcheck... beats me.

The nut that the screw goes into goes into plastic and is barbed you must of broke the nut loose in the plastic in the ECU

Not realy a big deal but to get it out you will have to drill it , This will have to be done with a phone call

Let me clarify something, Tom hooked up the J&S exactly as the directions said to do. After talking to John at J&S he told me to check the continuity going from the wires at the knock sensors pluging to the wire going to the J&S unit, there was none. After talking to Tom I traced out the wires from the KS and instead of being wires 57(+) and wire 87(-) it ended up being wires 76 and 85.

Tom I did say it was never hooked in right, but I should have said it was hooked up like the directions said to ...... but the directions in this case were wrong.

As most of you've read I've been having some trouble with my J&S. Come to find out the general area and sensor I have been pecking on and around isn't the Knock Sensor...... it was the CAM Position Sensor.....

Now that I feel Completly RETARDED... you may start with the slams and cheap shots
