Stage 1 Reliability

Ok, let's just say I want to install a turbo? I'm not after huge power gains like 300/300 but something safe and reliable like within a jrsc power range. From what I understand, the turbo will have much more tq and hp within the similiar range. For this kind of power, is it recommended to have an intercooler? I'm looking at your stage 1, but I can't help but wonder if having the intercooler in necessary for longevity of the system. If I do this, I prefer to buy all the necessary components and not cheap out on the system. Turbo seems to be a much better route in my choice since the power builds considerably up the rpm range. So, if I want to run conservative numbers on pump gas, will stage 1 be better or would the complete kit be necessary for better reliability?

im getting a stg 1 kit on my car and it will be INSTALLED by the end of this month.

from what i understand TUNING needs to be done. the kit can be the best in the world but without tuning your motor IS going to take a shit on you.

now say you get excellent tuning i dont see why the turbo wouldnt last the lifetime of your car. a turbo is a better route than a supercharger imo also because it doesnt take power to make power, also a turbo runs on free energy. also a modern turbo is virtually lag free.

once ill get my stg1 kit im going to be doing a full review on how i like it. just wait it out till i post.

TUNING TUNING TUNING

any kit can be as reliable as any other if it has the proper tuning (this assumes roughly equal quality of parts)

The oil pan didn't fit in the first box.
