That depends a lot on the boost , If your tuner knows what he is doing he can raise the trans psi so that it will live stock on a "lower boost" but again it depends on what your HP/TQ goals are

same question. Since you are a tuner what would you feel comfortable saying on hp/tq goals would be with the stock auto trans? I would like to go turbo too but the wife does not want me spending 5k on the lentch trans and turbo....

Tom, I want 200-220HP. Probably closer to 200HP for my 2.0L. Will the auto hold that with the trans pressure turned up or should I upgrade the value body and/or torque converter?

I don't rag on my car or run it hard; and I would baby it even more with the boost.

so what you think?

First your not installing a tuebo to baby it more , your going to run the crap out of it or you wouldnt need a turbo , Now that were past that

What TQ are you looking at , it isnt HP that kills the trans its TQ and with a turbo you get more TQ then HP

guess what I was trying to say is that the transmission should be in good shape since I don't run the car hard lol

and I mean its not like im going to floor to every stop light with the turbo on. If i know the transmission is on edge with the power im not going to push it.

So if the setup produces say 200HP with 210 ft lbs of torque, will the stock auto handle it or should some upgrades be applied before hand? or should upgrades be applied to the auto transmission regardless to prevent problems down the road?

....and i know that you cant give any definite answers Tom, cause then when something doesn't go like you say it will people will blame you and the drama will begin. But I appreciate your advice.

im just joking tom. it was like that when i bought it from the scrap yard. the guy that pulled the trans confirmed it.

Kinda curious as well... was looking to get a turbo for my 2.0 Zetec but I'm thinking maybe I should go SC instead? will that be better for not killing my trans?
