Not Sure If This Is A Stupid Idea, But Im Sure You'll Let Know

Tom,

I have a 01 SPi, I am not trying to race it as I wont win but do like the idea of having a better preforming car for twisty days and all around driving. So two part question, one do you still have a tune for the SPi, and do you think its worth it. Or should I just save that 400 and put it towards a engine swap?

Thanks

Chris

Hell, I can answer that question for you. Yes go for the Zetec swap. The Duratec uses all different harnesses, electrical systems etc etc etc.

^^That's what I would go with(if I still had a SPI,lol). Of course, if You want a new block, You can get one(Zetec) from FoMoCo for around $3000.00-ish, including the $800.00 core deposit.

Well Ive done a little research and found out that to do a SMOG legal swap it needs to be a engine that was avalible in that car for that year, So since the SVT didnt come out until 02 I can not do that swap.

Im really leaning torwards doing a Ztec build than doing the swap later on. So when the engine and tranny go in I dont need to take it out again.
