Polishing FR head

Tom,

I've finally got my hands on a new Ford Racing head. I notice the machining marks are very prominent in the exhaust ports. Is there anything to be gained from polishing them? Or should I just leave it alone?

Also, I am going to have the head milled .040". Do you know what the Roughness Average (Ra) should be? Is between 20-30 right?
