my idle sucks!

lol, just thought i would let ya know. replacing my o2 sensors doesnt change any thing. my car wont trim fuel at idle. it runs incredibly rich and stumbles and surges most of the time. some times it will get up in the 11-1's and stop stumbling. is there any thing you think you can do for it. could i read you the fuel trims and see if you can tell what is rong with it? its not to much of a big deal i would just like to have it running right. but other than that it is running great!

I think we have been dealing with your problem before, if I can recall... have you tried to completely take the TB off and clean both sides of the plate with Injector Safe Carb Cleaner and the sidewalls... my car would always die on me, after I cleaned, it purrs like a kitten.

hmmm... shouldn't it be the same gasget as the stock?

you say that you have 65mm... when did you change it? Cause they tend to get dirty and especially the walls, which means that you plate doesn't fully close... and I mean millimeters could make a huge difference, since that is what was wrong with mine.

Let me look around, there is a post somewhere here that gives the site for the gasget....

no it isnt the same gasket as stock. the stock tb uses a o ring instead of a gasket. the tb is brand new and was very shinny and clean when i installed it. but i will clean it any way just to see if it helps. the gasket for it tore when i took it off the sc and i made one out of gasket material but it is pretty thin so that may be my problem

yeah man... that is your problem, if the gasket is too thin, then what happens at the end is that there is a leak... if it is a new TB, then I wouldn't clean... just change the gasket, call the manufac. and get a new one.

When the o2 goes out the trims fail and the ECU because of lack of controle goes into open loop , after replacing your o2 you need to clear the ECU then watch your scan tool on the Short Turm Fuel Trim ( STFT1)and see if it is switching

When you start it it will be in open loop then in a bit it switches to closed loop and starts switching or should
