F/I noob

i wasnt sure whether to put this here or in F/I....feel free to move this...

I am planning to save up around 3000-3500 dollars by next fall and would like to put it towards a turbo setup/tune for my zetec zx3...
1) is it plausible with this amount of money?
2) possibly with less?
3) would i be able to drive down to your shop next fall to get it all installed and tuned up?

i currently have the ZX3 borla cat-back exhaust system and the steeda SRI if that matters...

thanks in advance!

For the turbo kit , install and tune you will be looking more to the 4600 to 5000.00 range , I think the SSF kit is going to be in the 3800.00 range and that does not come with a few things or tune

yeah the best way to do it cheap is to do as much of it your self as you possibly can, lol. i got my entire set up for 3200. that is turbo kit, tune, and 3" exhaust. but i installled it all my self except the exhaust and got the kit used. and Tom done the tune. and it was all well worth it...

i think my exhaust should be good to go...can u tell me where u got the turbo equipment on its own....if i already have the exhaust then, theoretically, shouldnt i be able to do ur setup for only $2600-2800 or so?

edit, i could probably do the install on my own....its the tune and equipment im worried about for the most part

The SSF kit is going to be $2700 and does not include injectors and tuning.

Man, that is a nice price for the SSF kit. Is it possible to get a tune similar to PWs that would spare the ATX until I could beef it up or would a tranny upgrade be required?
