tom... quick question, if you don't mind.

What size exhaust do you recommend for a focus that has no plans for "FI"

probably just bolt on stuff... nothing to drastic...

i have a cai, gonna add a 4-2-1 header in the spring and possibily gonna add a chip or program in the future.

Thanks

Ray.

I'm not Tom, but 2.5 inches should do you just fine. From the sounds of it you could go with a 3 inch exhasut if you really wanted to. I guess I could just let the experts tell you.

ok... but its not too big? its not gonna rob power... my stock exhaust is 2" (...yes it is 2" i checked and fould out the hard way when i did my lunch box cut)

Ya so my question really is will a 2.5" exhaust rob power from the drop in back pressure.

Well, it's not like you'll lose 5 horsepower NA because of a slightly bigger exhaust pipe or anything. It may slow the gases down a little bit but I doubt it will be noticeable at all, with full exhaust it should be fine. I wouldn't worry about it.

Tom, How do you feel about a JBA Shorty connected to a 2.5 flex & Cat-Back Borla? I am in Calif & the JBA is the only one that is CARB cert.
