I resolve to silently overlook when people incorrectly use its (belonging to it) in place of it's (contraction of it is).

Also, I am going to get back under 190 lbs. At this point, I am a hair over 200. I am six feet tall and broad shouldered so I will always be on the higher end of the weight scale, but regardless, I am currently fat.

I laugh at girls for this same thing. 5-10# is worthless to fret over. Your day to day weight will change 2-3# at times.
Being 'fit' and healthy is far more of concern that weight. Eat healthy and be active, not necessarily gym type stuffs. A simple mile walk can do the body good.

I'm 5'11" and right around 185#, and I think I look shinny still. I have been a tic over 200# and I couldn't see a difference.

I go to the gym at least 3 days a week doing bicep/back tri/chest shoulder/sides/abs, drink protein right after work out and I run each day I go to gym!

also 03Orangesvt, how do you like the turbo mini cooper. I have been thinking about making the switch

The thing is, I can tell a difference when I get over 200 lbs. I do workout, but the reason I have gained weight is because I have been eating like shit and haven't been active in ways other than when I go to the gym. I am not going to kill myself over it, but I can tell the difference and I know why it is happened, so I am going to do something about it.

Put on some muscles and you'll see the difference between 185 and 200. I started with 151, regular gym time and nutrition, I am at around 148 now but I look way bigger and cut then when I was heavier.

I'm kind of a resolution freak...

2011 - I quit biting my finger nails (I had bit them my whole life and its nasty)
Stuck to it and a year and a few months later they look wayyyy better!

I also quit drinking Diet Coke (used to drink about a 12pack a day)
This one turned into not drinking anything but water and a year and a few months
later and I feel much better

2012 - I quit smoking. Smoked since I was about 14 and was a little over a pack a day.
Still not smoking and am starting to feel better.

I also set out to lose weight and get in better shape. On Jan 3rd 2012 I decided I didn't know what the hell to do to go about my weight loss. So as a fan of MMA I saw a thing for Rushfit and went to my local Scheels and bought it (on sale no less, with a christmas gift card)!!
I got 4 days into the "program" and ended up hurting my shoulder. I haven't gotten back to it since.
What I have been able to stick to though is the "Nutrition Guide" that comes with Rushfit. I have followed it to the best of my ability. When I started this I took 6 huge boxes of food out of my house and gave it to other family members. It was all stuff that the guide said I should avoid.. so away it went! I went to the store and stocked up on things that were in the guide.

Results so far
Keep in mind this is not typical and I myself find it amazing that I have lost this much
Also keep in mind that I was only following the Nutrition guide... I changed nothing else. (well a few days of cardo = a few 3 mile runs)

Starting weight on Jan 3rd 2012: 212.8lbs
Weight as of today Feb 16th 2012: 185.2lbs

My goal is 170... and I think that my shoulder is good enough to start working out again. So I think the weight loss will slow now as I will be gaining muscle.

YMMV

Just thought I'd share!

I have forgotten about this area ...

My resolutions this year are 2 things ...
- To become more organized than last year.
- To work on a healthier life style.

So far, these 2 have been in and out for me. ... but I am trying, as I bet everyone is doing. Trying.
