anyone in SATX/Austin area want to part with one of these, or let me borrow it to do my timing belt, and cam belt?

Sorry, that no one has stepped up to the plate to help you out. If you were in Houston, we would more than gladly give you a hand.

And that tool is a must for the timing belt install. Have you checked your local auto store to see if they might have a set for rent or something?

The standard zetec focuses aren't too hard, its the cars with the VCT that can be a bit tough. Like the SVT focus and the ZX2 DOHC Escort.

I've done it on both now.

Well, when the timing is off, is when the fun happens. If the timing isn't off and all you are doing is changing the belt. You don't even touch the VCT Cam. So, yes it's easier then.
