Where to find parts?

I live in northern Texas and while there are plenty of auto shops and parts places around I was wondering if there are any places out there worth the drive to save money on parts. (Like if I can drive to Oklahoma and get a supercharger for a thousand less than online.) Let me know where or how you get your parts.

While I haven't needed much from him lately, Roger at North Central Ford in Richardson, TX can get OE Ford and Motorcraft parts for cheap. He can also get Ford Racing parts, but since he (at least not last time I spoke with him) is not a FRPP dealer he can't get as good of deals as some.

For FRPP, Roush, and Steeda parts you should call Mike at Hilbish Ford. He has his own section with the other vendors. He's not local though so you will have to wait on shipping (usually cheaper than buying locally with shipping since you don't have to pay tax).

For anything else that those 2 don't sell I call Karl at MassiveSpeedSystems in Northern Illinois. Good prices and a good guy to deal with, though a bit sarcastic if you are.

Are you looking for something in particular? Or just curious where we get our parts from?

Honestly, I think you are better off ordering online. The shops I know of if you want to go to a shop are SFXperformance(Arlington), and Area 51(Desoto, Dallas). But from what I am reading you live in the Denton Area, and that would be a bit of a drive for just some small parts. The Alamo (Arlington) shop use to be cool with Foci, but then they started kicking Foci to the curbed about 3-4 years ago. I use to live in Dallas, going to these particular shops for parts. So, again I say, that you are better off online shopping...Wave of the Future.

I'm at UTA so getting to Arlington is no problem for me. There are TONS of body shops there (they're pretty cheap thought). There's a Ford Racing store not far from UTA but I've never stopped in. The reason I want to mod my car is because of all the cheap ass ricers (mostly hondas) that I always see parked at the college. Most of them have shit for performance. I'ma kick some ASS!

Funny...I do miss the green machine. When I had the race header on there it really screamed. If it hadn't been totaled it would have quite a bit more done to it (FR head, cams/camgears, and a new(er) bottom end). Well, its on to something else for me. I found out that the 08 Rabbit is gonna have 170hp/177tq. Should make for a very fun little car. Gonna get a 2-door in candy white.

Thanks, Jacob! Yeah, if it's OEM ya need, I'll help ya where I can. Just pm me for contact info or add me to your yahoo or msn messenger buddy lists. Yahoo is blknght22571 and msn is rbatts1971 at hotmail dot com. Just found this thread. I have to check in here from home because our corporate IT department is so stupid and has the forums on here blocked. I've told them repeatedly that they are keeping me from helping you guys out, but, at least they haven't blocked texasfoci!
