need to borrow stock intake to pass ca emissions

my friend just purchased a 2004 2.3l duratec focus with a k&n intake.

does anyone have the stock intake we can borrow ( or buy if necessary) to get it smogged ?

it's a typhoon, which is not carb compliant.

this is really aggravating because i'm actually the original owner of the car and had kept the original intake in the garage for 10 years. this is holding up the title transfer as well.

wow i've seen non US complaint but this ones new

K&N 63-1101 + K&N 69-3512TP + K&N 69-3512TR
not Cali compliant but compliant for the rest of Canada and the US.

my local wrecking yard has 2 a 2002 and a 2003 Dtec, i'll see if they still have them tomorrow
