Hickory meet == March
Due to the excellent turnouts at our NC meets so far this year and also to the good one we had here in Hickory last week on really short notice. (just a few hours and we just hung out in a parking lot for a while and talked) I figure its time to have one thats more official and more thoroughly planned out and BIGGER. It always seems like Steven and Brent are the only cats on here who do any planning for meets so for a change of pace and to get my feet wet as well I'm going to take this one! I'm planning a Hickory area meet sometime in mid to late march. The meeting spot would be best to be on highway 70 simply due to its central location in hickory and there is a little bit of everything within a 5 mile stretch. i have a teeny little lake lot in the area we could go to for a BBQ, fishing, swimming (if you're brave, big big fish). lake lot not suggested for really really low foci. buddy with a lowered civic can get out there fine but be warned if we end up going to the lake. all the lake lot is is a peice of land with a peir, picnic table, charcoal grill, boat ramp, and trees. no "facilities" if you catch my drift. other places up for consideration would be many many restaurants (pick one we've got it), bowling with grill and bar, movies, hickory motor speedway. there is a possibility i might be able to get us some track time at the speedway if there is any1 interested. its just a teeny little asphalt circle track. it would obviously cost money and i dont have a clue how much but like i said if we get enough people interested ill be glad to find out. they might give a group discount. if we end up going to the lake an early morning meet with a cruze thru the country would be superb. if we end up at a restaurant on 70 instead meeting later in the day around 6ish with a few laps around the block with the rice burners would be best. (they like to meet up and race on the weekends between about 8pm and 12am. so come on people what dates times and locations fit every1 the best? after we get those 3 things sorted out ill hammer out the finer details. who is in?

got a fella on the phone earlier today about getting some track time on a friday or saturday in late march early april. aparrently alot of people use the track for tuning purposes. he said he would see what dates and times were available and for me to call back on monday for a times and dates available as well as how much it costs per car on the track and how long we can have. is there any1 interested before i proceed? if no1 else wants to play ill can it. it is $20 to hold a spot open, non refundable if you dont use that time.

Dude.... Hickory.. I'm totally in on that one!
Track sounds good too as long as it's not going to cost a fortune.

i would say if it costs more than $30-$40 a car then pass.
