moving to FL need info.

I'm moving to the kisseme / orlando area and was just wonderign on the laws there as far as widow tint and inpection testing.

what is the percent of legal tint there? what kind of inpection do they have? I have a shorty header with no cat and was wondering if they do the tail pipe inpection or check for the cat?

any help will be appreciated, thanks

I live in Kissimmee /BVL area, and I have had no problems with tint or loudness of exhaust. If you drive normal you won't have any trouble.

No, Florida DOES NOT have any state inspections... so you are all good.

I know, it's really retarded down here. I think we are like one if not the only state without one. You should see the shithole boxes that pass as 'cars' on the roads!?!?

Best wishes and enjoy your move!

No inspection testing, but they will look at your car to verify the VIN number and note what color it is.

It's about $200 to take a car from out of state, and get a FL title, and tag the first year. Renewals drop down to about $30 each year. If you decide to get a personalized tag, you pay extra for it once, but not every year.

If you buy a car out of state and bring it back to title it, you end up paying sales tax on it, based on the rate in your local area. If you have owned your car for a while, this doesn't apply.

I'm not sure about the tint laws, but if it's not on the FHP web site, a local tint show should know what's legal and what's not.

YES, blue and red underbody neons are illegal if you are driving around with them on. If you are parked at a show, you can do what you want (neons, strobes, etc.). Here in south Florida (Ft. Lauderdale area), the cops are really tough on that. I've even known cops to write "fix it" tickets on window tint if they can't see inside the car.
