AZ Crew: Procharger Tuning Updates

Hey guys just wanted to start something to keep you guys updated on the tuning. As it stands right now, the tuning is still not right. Turbo Tom has the fuel trimmed way way down and the numbers are still not right.

We tried a few things today. Turns out I had a bad o2 sensor. So I replaced that and the numbers were better but not where they should be. Turbo Tom says the MAF is too close to the bend of the pipe and that it should be 6-8 inches from the bend to allow efficient air flow. In my case, the AEM pipe bend, is about 4 inches from the MAF. He thinks that might be the problem but I think the whole piping from the intercooler to the TB isn't airflow efficient, too many bends and barely lines up at the couplers. Although it seemed like an easy fix at the time of the install, it's not going to work well enough.

Turbo Tom is going to fab me up some custom piping from the intercooler up to the TB with the MAF. I will have to cut part of the fender well because the pipe will run around the battery and down to the intercooler. Hope fully the saw-zaw(??) will hold up. I SHOULD have the piping by the end of next week.

I attempted to install the gauges today, boost and a/f, and turned out pretty good. The only thing that sucks is the nylon tubing that comes with the boost gauge is crap trying to get it through the firewall was not easy and I ended up bending and breaking the tubing. So I am going to find some rubber tubing that will replace that. I still have to run the o2 sensor part to the cat for the a/f but that's easy.

That's it for now. I will keep you guys posted.

Did you go out and grab the valve filter? Did that help at all?

Yeah I did and not much difference. The tubing from the IC to the TB isn't right and I think it's throwing everything off.

I finally installed my gauges... http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...46#post1929546
