Thumbs down Hocus focus nachos

I love my focus ! It is without a doubt the best handling small car ever.
There are a few little bugs that Ford won't help with, anybody else care to share ?
1.Unbelievable brake dust, and brake wear, new pads in 25kkm.
2.Drivers side air duct kept falling off till I fixed it with gaffer tape under the dash.
3.I've had the fuel tank sender replaced 3 times under warranty.
4.Problems getting it in reverse when cold.
5.About every minute with the headlights on , the lights dim for about half a second.
6.No aftermarket parts of any sort available , like filters plugs, belts, all come only at Ford.
7.Big variation in km/Litre, same driving pattern.
8.Takes a recently graduated nuclear scientist to get the jack back in the wheel well.
9.Horn is way too gay.
10.Hi beam lights are poor, low beam are excellent.
11. Mid rev range cruise control, revs stick between gear changes, when revving past about 4500 rpm. Ford says it's a performance enhancement, I say BS. it's design flaw.
Once again I love the car but these little things that Ford, ( 2 dealers and HO) don't
want to know about that let it down.
any body got similar problems and maybe a solution?
Other probs?

As for #1 I think all focus owners can agree with that! For #6 The focus is one of the best car to get aftermarket parts for. Maybe its just the aussie focus!

I get dimming as well.

As for AM parts check out www.infocusmotorsport.com.au

They have most of the stuff you will need and if they dont they can prolly arrange to import for you.

Hell, I dont have any of those problems except for the brake dust, which is bad but not much worse than my other cars.

My car is a bloody mint, never had a problem with it, excels in all areas (except sheer power, haha). My high beam could light up an entire city! Never had light dimming though, sounds weird!

Sorry you've had such experiences with it...

Cheers....... Tim

The dimming occurs in all cars not matter what. It all depends on the eyes ability to pick it up.
It's a bit like changing the refresh rate on ur monitor :P

yeah and solaris we're referring to the Aussie cars, Euro models. Just to let you know so you don't start worrying that our problems are going to occur on your cars etc because they're a bit different. But I suppose the grind may be universal if the MTX is obviously the same one, correct me if 'm wrong.
