Portable A/C For Sale in D/FW
Its a Maytag M6P09S2B, 9000 BTU. I used it for about 2 months and don't need it anymore since I fixed my central air. These go for about $500 if not a little more than that. Lookin to sell locally since its to big to ship. $250 Cash or money order please. Send me a pm if interested. Works great but like I said I don't need it and its just taking up space here.Maytag Portable A/C

I have a large room that was formally a 2 car garage, now its my gameroom, and my central air, wasn't balanced for a room that size.

I am interested as I am going to start throwing parties more often and need something to keep that room cool besides the ceiling fan and one small diffuser. Its always about 7 degrees warmer than the rest of the house during mid-day.....with lots of people, its gets pretty warm.

Anywho, does it work well? How does it operate? Maintenance? I also looked at the plug type, is that regular receptacle or is a gfi or 480volt receptacle required.

Thank you.

Sorry man I haven't been on since yesterday afternoon. It plugs into a regular 3 prong outlet you would plug any other thing into. It works really good and it has the same concept as a window unit only the window only has to opened about 12". I'll try to take a pic of how it goes but its really easy to install or uninstall. As far as maintainence theres a cap on the bottom in the back that you have to drain every so often. Theres a light on the top that will illuminate when it needs to be drained. Its just condensation. I haven't had to drain it so I don't think it needs to be drained frequently. Besides that theres a filter on the back thats easy to get to and you just got to rinse it when its dirty.
