ryan needs help!

thought maybe the locals could help me out!
it is also posted in the tech area as well!

okay there is a black hose that runs from a resavoir(sp?) or something that is under the left quater panel just in front of the passenger front tire. Im not certain if it is ran the same on all the other fords, or someone has just jacked with mine... but it runs ENTIRELY too close to the pulleys and belts. sadly i wait to realize this until the heat expands the hose and the belt rubs a hole into it. now this thing is spraying green fluid everywhere and the air conditioning lost all coolness immediately.

what is this hose?

and

how much is it to replace?

am I screwed price wise? ima broke guy.

and now i am carless until i fix it.

someone help me! please!

-Ryan

okay its the a/c hoses

comeing from that resavoir or "dryer" i think its called, there is a place to take it apart, it then goes under the belts on the compressor and is secured with a bracket and then goes back under and into the condenser where i can unbolt it. that is a long piece. how much does that usually run?

that is your ac manifold line, I don't have an exact price but I would guess 100-200, and then you will have to have the ac vaccumed down and charged, you should be able to install the hose yourself since you have already lost the refrigerent, you will need a 10mm for the line at the compressor and a 13mm for the nuts at the condensor and the accumulator, good luck

yeah we got the a/c hose assembly replaced.

you were correct on the 13mm and 10mm sizes. but that 10 mm one bout broke my arm off it was sooo tight.

since it was only the hose cut open, hose-fast in garland replaced the hose for $29.50 and it took like 5 minutes.

does anyone have a good suggestion for a reptuable place to get the vaccum and A/C recharge done?

and im guessing that'll run about $50ish?
