Unhappy Down and Out

Well folks, my hatch is down for the count right now and I haven't found out all the damage yet..looks like the main seal on the crankshaft is toast..pulled into my carport and turned it off, the whole passengerside undercarriage, suspension and left side of the motor compartment were bathed in oil, the dipstick... was dry.

Say a prayer to the car gods.
Thanks.

If you need a professional to help, I know someone in Plano that is currently rebuilding my motor for me. He does great work for a VERY fair price.

If the warranty I bought with the car turns out to be a watsed effort, I'll PM for the info....if I had to rebuild the motor for some reason, I'd be really tempted to just look for an SVT motor instead

A thanks to Venomrogue, who was the only person to even say anything to me. If anyone else cares, I got my hatch back today..the oil filter went bad and the oil sensor was leaking.

Everything is good so far after they worked it over, I'm not sure where the sensor is, but I'd think it is close to the filter. Check your valve cover bolts for the leak first, mine were loose a couple weeks back and it was seeping just enough to smell burnt oil.

Venom, there are alot of things I want to do, but money , is always the drag *laughs* I have a line on SVT rear brakes, that'll make me feel better on the road and also SVT suspension, so I can get to the other end of the curves and wait for the ricers who thing it only matters if you go fast in a straight line *laughs*

It's not that we don't care, it's that we were busy praying to the car gods.

Obviously it worked.

i had this happen as well. i will look at the documentation to find out exactly where the leak was but i never saw a drop on the ground, just smelled burning oil. in my case the oil was leaking on the exhaust piping in some spot.
